Open-toed shoes, such as flip-flops, are available in a variety of colors and styles and are easy to slip on and off. The feet can endure many unwanted conditions, and many people feel better mentally when flip-flops are worn. This feeling may change if the toes and arch begin to ache when this type of shoe is frequently worn. This can be a result of a lack of arch support, in addition to the toes gripping the front of the shoe to keep it on the foot.
